A Windows 7 component by which Microsoft Visual Basic scripts and small Java scripts are executed is called Windows Script Host. To prevent users from accidentally running scripts that may contain harmful code many system administrators disable the Windows Script Host. If you want to run script that you know is safe or came from a trusted source you will need to enable the Windows Script Host and here we will show you how can you enable it.

3 Steps To Enable Windows Script Host

Step 1:

First of all search for "regedit" on the search box, then to launch the “Registry Editor” you will need to press the "Enter" key.

Step 2:

Now on the left pane double-click on the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" key in order to expand it. By expanding it you can see more keys underneath, then to reveal more keys under the "Software" key double-click on it.
Note: You are suggested that don’t stop expanding the keys until you reach the "Settings."

Step 3:

After clicking on the "Settings" key, you should see a label called "Enabled" with a "0" value on the right pane. Delete that entry by clicking "Delete," then to enable the Windows Script Host you will finally need to click the "Yes" button.
