We live in a world today that revolves around data stored on digital mediums of one sort or another and while the devices we store our data on are usually quite robust they’re not 100% foolproof. On the positive side there are numerous ways we can back-up our data either on other physical devices of our own or using cloud based storage – the possibilities are virtually endless.
Geek Square is always available to provide you with advice on which type of storage might be right for you. There isn’t one right answer when it comes to data backup because we’re all individuals with our own particular needs and we recognize that so we’ll customize our approach to your own needs. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
If you’re not comfortable with cloud based storage and would prefer to back up your data on some type of a physical medium then an external hard drive may be the perfect approach for you. External hard drives these days have large storage capacities and in many cases may be able to store as much data as the actual hard drive built into your computer. However, if you only work with basic written documents for the most part a simple USB stick may be all you really need.
Dragging around an external hard drive may seem a little cumbersome if you travel a lot for business and if a USB stick simply doesn’t provide enough storage for you it may be best to look at other options. The most obvious choice for anyone that travels a lot for business and needs quick access to their backup data if something goes wrong on their laptop then a cloud based storage service of some kind is probably the best option. We can help you figure out which service is right for you and get you up and running so that you never miss a beat while you’re on the road. Give us a call at (647) 478-9245 today and we’ll be happy to backup your data.
